Leigh Morris began his 30-year career in healthcare administration after receiving his MHA Degree from the University of Minnesota. After he retired as CEO of La Porte Hospital, he went on to serve as Mayor of La Porte and then Deputy Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Transportation for Toll Road Oversight and Senior Vice President of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. He’s a former Chairman of the La Porte County Republican Party, was a member of the Indiana Citizen’s Redistricting Commission and was Chairman of the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority from 2008 to 2013. He was named a Sagamore of the Wabash by Governor Frank O’Bannon in and received the Governor’s Distinguished Service Medal from Governor Mitch Daniels.
