Candidates Forum Presented by the La Porte Jaycees

The La Porte Jaycees are excited to announce the return of their Candidates Forum this fall. The event will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm at the Kesling Middle School Auditorium. All members of the La Porte Community and high school students are encouraged to attend the event. The event will be moderated by members of the La Porte Jaycees, and the format of the forum will be a question and answer format with questions being provided by the Jaycees Membership and the audience. Candidates in the upcoming Municipal Election will be given opportunities to provide a brief introduction, answer questions, and provide closing comments.
The La Porte Jaycees is a non-partisan organization dedicated to providing leadership training opportunities for its members through the projects and programs the members plan, organize, and conduct in both the community and the chapter. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 41 are eligible to be members of the organization. The Jaycees are able to focus on individual development while helping their community. The Jaycees is a national organization that continues in more than 4,000 communities, allowing members to develop personal and professional skills, along with helping their community.
Individuals interested in joining the La Porte Jaycees will have the opportunity to learn more about the organization at the Candidates Forum on October 27. The La Porte Jaycees meet on the second Wednesday of each month at their Clubhouse, 406 Clay Street, at 6pm. Additional upcoming events for the La Porte Jaycees include the Deserving Children's Shopping Tour in December, and their 2nd Annual Ugly Sweater Party.
