Michigan City Food & Wine Festival
Michigan City is bringing wine tasting a little closer to Northwest Indiana this autumn. More than 70 local and international wines and locally brewed beer will be featured at the Fire&Water Food and Wine Festival on Saturday, October 3. To kick off the event, teams of culinary students from Ivy Tech Community College will battle each other not just for bragging rights, but for a chance to win a scholarship.
“This is an exciting opportunity for our students to gain real-life, hands-on experience,” said Michigan City Campus President Rick Soria J.D. “And, we are honored to join Fire&Water in showcasing the value of our community college to our community.”
The winning team will win a culinary scholarship, which is funded by a portion of the ticket sales.
The Fire & Water Food and Wine Festival is Saturday, October 3 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM CST. The event is located at Fire&Water, 6 on Lake Michigan, near Washington park in Michigan City, Indiana.
