QuickBooks Online Workship with NWISBDC
The Northwest ISBDC is partnering with Anna Burke of Accounting Made Simple to offer a new QuickBooks basics class.
The two-day workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Fridays March 3 and 10 will assist new or current users of the QuickBooks online application. The event will be at the Purdue Technology Center of NWI, 9800 Connecticut Drive in Crown Point.
Participants must have QuickBooks online on their laptop, tablet or smart phone and have their device on hand during the workshop. The two-day event is $100 and pre-registration and pre-payment are required. To register, visit http://bit.do/QBonline or call (219) 644-3513 for more information.
QuickBooks online allows users to work on their accounting and access data from any Internet connection. The class will spotlight: getting started, navigating the software, recording transactions, reporting tools and expanding usability.
“QuickBooks Online Edition offers not only the bookkeeping tools found in the QuickBooks Desktop version, but also logistical solutions to the entrepreneur's operations,” Burke said. “Whether selling, estimating, invoicing, taking orders or payments off-site, the accounting is accomplished in real time through the mobile app. It also is a great solution for multi-location businesses as the books are always available for multiple users from any Web-enabled smart phone, tablet or computer.
“Because it is all managed by Intuit, users can trust the reliability and security and that maintenance, upgrades and backups are all being handled by the pros.”
Serving seven counties in the region, the NW-ISBDC offers no-cost assistance for entrepreneurs starting or expanding their businesses. Through one-on-one consulting, the NW-ISBDC helps guide small businesses toward their goals by offering referrals, workshops, training opportunities and other essential business tools. It is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Small Business Administration, the State of Indiana and other local partners.
