Spring Plow Day with the LaPorte County Draft Horse Association
On Sunday, April 28, the La Porte County Draft Horse Association will host a Spring Plow Day at the Door Prairie Red Barn in La Porte. Plowing will be from 11 am to 2 pm. Come and see different breeds of draft horses using horse-drawn implements in the field. This is free event and concessions will be available for purchase. The Door Prairie Red Barn is on Highway 35 South in La Porte, adjacent to the La Porte County Historical Society museum. The La Porte County Draft Horse Association is dedicated to the education, preservation, and exhibition of all draft horse breeds. Each event provides the opportunity to capture the interest of future generations, ensuring this important piece of American life preserved.
