There's No Place Like Home: Permanency for all Children Training
Unity Foundation and Family Advocates have joined to offer this unique training opportunity to equip professionals with tools to better serve our local at-risk youth. Presented by Sue Badeau, this presentation will focus on current research on the importance of permanency. Participants will learn information about why permanency is important to all youth, the impact of trauma on the brain, the importance of a case plan and more in this two session training. Sue Badeau is a nationally known speaker, writer and consultant. Sue Badeau is a nationally known speaker, writer and consultant. She has worked for many years in child welfare, juvenile justice, children’s mental health and education and serves on several national boards. Sue writes and speaks extensively on topics related permanency, trauma, children with special needs and family engagement. Sue and her husband, Hector, are the lifetime parents of twenty-two children, two by birth and twenty adopted.
