International Pop Star Jesse McCartney to Headline La Porte LakeFest
La PORTE, IN (April 7, 2025) – The City of La Porte announced today that world-famous pop star Jesse McCartney will headline this summer’s LakeFest, according to Park Superintendent and LakeFest Committee Chair Mark Schreiber.The “Beautiful Soul” and “Leavin’” performer will play a free live show on Saturday, July 26, at the Dennis F. La Porte Urban Enterprise Association outlines 2024 accomplishments
La PORTE, IN (March 27, 2025) – The past year held many successes for the La Porte Urban Enterprise Association, according to Board President Mike Riehle. Formed in 2002, the La Porte UEA awards grants each year to local businesses and residents residing within the Urban Enterprise Zone. Northwest Cancer Centers to bring advanced cancer care to La Porte
La Porte, IN – Patients with cancer in La Porte faced a challenging obstacle last summer when the oncology practice at Northwest Health - La Porte closed its doors. The facility, which opened in 2023, was the only oncology and hematology office in the city. HFL Announces Rolling Grant Cycle for 2025
Health Foundation of La Porte (HFL) has announced a change to its grant timeline for 2025. This year, HFL will accept grant applications addressing strategic priorities (Healthy Children, Healthy Living, and Healthy Minds) and Healthy La Porte requests on a rolling basis. Mayor Tom Dermody Announces New Development Along 39 North
La Porte, IN – Mayor Dermody in partnership with IST Distribution, announced plans for a $24 million capital investment to build and equip an 81,000 sq. ft. plastic pellet distribution facility along 39 North at 2321 Progress Drive. IST Distribution will utilize the Chicago South Shore and South Bend Railroad spur to bring in bulk plastic pellets for distribution to customers across the United States. La Porte to Begin Servicing 39 North Following Successful Annexation
