CLH Welcomes New Interns, Highlights Commitment to Developing Future Talent

Michigan City, IN – 7/24/2026 – As organizations across the country prepare to celebrate National Intern Day on the last Thursday of July, CLH, CPAs & Consultants is recognizing the next generation of accounting and business professionals by welcoming five interns who will gain hands-on experience across the firm’s Northwest Indiana offices.
Joining CLH this summer are:
 
  •  Yongshi Huang, interning in the Valparaiso office. She is currently pursuing her Master of Accountancy degree at Purdue University Northwest (PNW) and is a leadership team member of the PNW Finance and Accounting Club. She has experience in tax preparation and other accounting services.
  • Naturelle Buikema, interning in the Valparaiso office. She is a PNW student majoring in finance and accounting. She has previous experience in various customer service roles and is a member of the PNW Finance and Accounting Club.
  • Lila Gillisse, interning in the La Porte office. She is a Trine University student majoring in accounting. She previously interned with CLH in administrative service roles and is expanding her responsibilities this summer to gain additional experience in the accounting industry.
  • Brianne Norman, interning in the La Porte office. She is a PNW student majoring in accounting. She has previous experience in various customer service and sales roles and is a member of the PNW Finance and Accounting Club. 
  • Brooklynn Hough, completing another administrative internship with the firm. She is assisting with a range of projects while studying marketing and sustainable business at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
This year’s intern class reflects CLH’s continued investment in developing future industry leaders while providing students with meaningful, real-world experience that complements their classroom education. Through mentorship, client exposure and professional development opportunities, the firm’s internship program has become a cornerstone of its workforce development strategy.
 
“We view our internship program as an investment in people and in the future of our profession,” said Stephanie Russell, Director of Operations for CLH. “National Intern Day is a wonderful opportunity to recognize these talented students, including the interns we have the privilege of working with this summer, while also celebrating the many former interns who have gone on to become valued members of the CLH team.”
 
Today, over 50% of CLH’s current managers, staff accountants and senior accountants began their careers as interns, demonstrating the program’s success in identifying, developing and retaining talent.
